Cene estive & Shabby Chic on Friday

Il tempo delle vacanze è ormai vicino e i momenti più piacevoli per me sono quelli trascorsi in un'allegra cena con gli amici. Così come nel precedente  post il mio desiderio era quello di cercare una bella presentazione di piatti estivi oggi sono andata in cerca di tavole per le nostre cene all'aperto. Balcone, terrazzo o giardino l'importante è dare quel tocco particolare che fa sentire l'ospite coccolato e che regala un pizzico di stupore.

The holiday time is here and my favourite moments are dinners with friends. In my  previous  post I look for summer food and today I'm looking for tablescape. Terrace or garden the best think is to give a little touch of surprise and our geust will feel cuddle.

Bastano piccole cose per dare quel tocco di originalità alla tavola come una cartolina come segnaposto o per augurare buone vacanze o bentornati!

A palcecard to  write good holiday or welcame back, just little things to give a little special touch! 

Avevate mai pensato a mettere un piccolo rosso pomodoro come fermatovagliolo? 

Io no, eppure dà un tocco così estivo/rustico.

And a little red tomato, is sooo summer touch, I never though about this and you?

Qualche fiorellino un nastrino ed un bottone a colore della tavola ed il gioco è fatto!

I colori delicati di queste piantine grasse rendono questa tavola così elegante.

This little plants give an elegant touch with their colors.

Se siamo in vacanza al mare, ma anche se desideriamo esserlo... certo non possono mancare le conchiglie sulla nostra tavola!

In summer holidays we can't set the table withouth seashells!

Un fiore di pimpinella, che troviamo facilmente nei campi, e per la strada (ecco magari non prendiamo proprio quelli ai bordi della strada) ed un nastro rosso fa tanto cena rustica!

Un'albicocca come fermatovagliolo

e per chi è fortunato una bella tavola sotto un albero

and a beautiful table under a tree

ma l'importante  sono loro, i nostri ospiti ed il piacere di rilassarsi e stare insieme in allegria.

but the best thing are our guests and the pleasure to relax and stay togheter happly!

Cibo e turchese

Il turchese è il colore dell'estate, evoca il mare ed il cielo azzurro e apprezzo moltissimo i post che suggeriscono come arredare la casa con questo colore.

Che dire allora del bianco e turchese abbinato al cibo? 

Restituiscono una tale gioia per gli occhi, una sensazione di freschezza e di vacanza 

che devo ammetterlo, sono rimasta letteralmente imbambolata!

Turquoise is the color of summer, and I love so much these pictures of food in combinations with white and turquoise. They give to me fresh, holidays and happy sensations and I can't stop to see all the time!

Prima e dopo & Shabby Chic on Friday

Oggi per la nostra rubrica desidero mostrarvi il mio ultimo esperimento.

 Una consolle trasformata con la tecnica Shabby Chic.

Today I would like to show you my last experiment, a consolle turn into Shabby Chic.

Questa volta la novità è che ho usato la Chalk Paint.

The news is that I used for the first time the Chalk Paint. 

Mi è sembrata una cosa davvero fantastica poter saltare la parte, noiosa, del carteggio!! 

pitturare è molto più divertente :-)

Paint is more fun that sand so I'm thrilled to avoid the boring sand!! :-)

Ed ecco il risultato che non sarebbe venuto poi tanto male se alla fine non avessi usato una vernice di finitura che ha ingiallito il bianco :-( quindi amiche care, voi siete già tutte brave, ma se ci fosse qualcuna alle prime armi,come me, fate attenzione e se volete utlizzare una vernice di finitura dovete assicurarvi che non ingiallisca.

This is the final result and I'm pretty proud of it but the problem it was that I used a final paint that give a little yellow color at the white paint. If there is some beginners please keep attention to use a paint that don't give this problem.

Non c'è problema, per rimediare a questo problema darò un'ulteriore mano di CP che per la sua consistenza gessosa coprirà bene l'inconveniente.

Questa è la collocazione finale della mia consolle nella zona notte, vicino alle scale e alla mia camera da letto che avete visto nel precedente post.

 Avete notato la lavanda nelle foto? è ormai alla fine della sua fioritura e così prima che i suoi fiori vengano raccolti e conservati nei barattoli (come quello sopra la consolle) vi mostro qualche scatto del mio giardino in un pomeriggio di questa torrida estate.

Did you see the lanvander in the pictures? The blooming is at the end and before I keep all the flowers in the jar I take some pictures from my garden in this boiling hot summer.
